Duplicating CDs/DVDs and printing labels used to be annoying and expensive. While this machine does cost a pretty penny, it makes duplication super simple. You just set it and forget it. I have noticed one important thing about the ink usage that is worth noting. The software that comes with the machine has an ink level notifier that tells you *when your cartridge is empty*. I think it just knows that 1 ink cartridge will print 200 FULL COLOR discs and counts how many discs it has printed and shows you percentage based on that number. Most disc labels that I print are just some text and maybe a simple graphic or two. The software tells me my ink cartridge is empty after 200 but I tell it to print anyway and I'm getting about 400 discs per cartridge. Just something to keep an eye on since each cartridge is $40. Overall this is a great product that I would recommend you invest in.

I needed to print 250 DVDs and wanted a burner and printer that could do the job without many attention from me. With the Disc Publisher I got that, so short duplication projects are done in a reasonable time and automatically.

Only con is that it only has one cartridge, so to print black it uses all colors combination, so the normal cartridge goes very fast and it doesn't give a totally black color as with the Epson DVDs printers.

1. You need and internet connection to activate the software that comes with the printer, and you need the software to be able to use the robotic functions of the printer.

2. The printer reports it's low on ink about 100 discs before it actually runs out of ink, forcing you to either change the cartridge or click through a dialog box for each disk, so you can't leave a batch unattended.

-- Other than those annoyances, it's a great machine for the price. I've made a few thousand DVD's with printed covers and the machine has performed well.
